inHappy weekend! I have a mix of events and some relaxing to do this weekend. I have catered the desserts for my friends studio open house tomorrow night. Truffle Pops, Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes with Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting and Old Fashioned Vanilla Caramel Candies. It should be so fun! The rest of the weekend I will be relaxing and enjoying a girls day with my Mom. By the way, doesn’t this couch look like the perfect place to kick back and daydream? I love it! Don’t forget the time change Sunday. Here are my faves from the week.
These are some of the most beautiful wedding shots I have ever seen – I am so inspired.
A fall apple dessert that is just mouthwatering!
Loving this post about Mark Rothko. I am a serious fan of his work!
I want this outfit!

The other day I had the chance to participate in a fabulous wedding inspiration photo shoot. The look was Garden Party Glamour and the day was such a blast. I was thrilled to style the table settings as well as the brides and bridesmaids looks. I also provided some jewelry that I designed too. The shoot was held at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden here in Portland, Oregon. I love creative collaborations and working with talented people is always such a treat – the weather even cooperated. Here are just a few sneak peek photos, but I do promise to share the real deal photos and entire look soon.
Layering these amazing necklaces add a dramatic and glamorous touch to the brides look.
The rhododendron gardens are so beautiful.
Thanks to Bash! Events NW for asking me to be a part of such a great day.

I am having an amazing weekend so far! It feels so nice to be in one of my favorite places in the world. Mostly it feels great to catch up with my family and just enjoy some time together. Here are a few of my favorite things this week.
Enjoy!
For a delicious and easy dinner or appetizer throw this together in a flash.
With the season changing this will warm your soul on a cold night.
Feeling Blue? Love this as a fresh inspiration for interior design.
An incredible classic, yet vintage wedding. It looks AMAZING. (The Lazaro gown in a personal favorite of mine!)
I am loving this amazing outfit! Great mix of pieces, color and style.
And finally, I was totally inspired to throw an exotic themed bash when I saw this.

I am so very excited to get away for a long weekend! I am going home to California to celebrate. I have some exciting things in store, but most importantly catching up with family and old friends. The reason for the trip is to celebrate my little brother’s engagement! We are all thrilled for the newly engaged couple and I cannot wait to toast to them. We will also be sneaking in my birthday celebration (a few days early) because we will all be together in one place.
We have a delicious dinner planned where the view of the San Francisco Bay will be spectacular.
I will be spending most of the day Saturday at the spa getting pampered! (My favorite thing in the world!!!) A massage and facial are well deserved and desperately needed.
Saturday night will be the official engagement party! I even got a new dress for the special occasion.
Before I head back home we will enjoy a birthday brunch in my honor. I am totally looking forward to that, I love going out for breakfast.
Hope you have a great Friday and a very happy weekend. Cheers!

This weekend I plan on playing in the last little bit of sunshine before autumn really hits. According to the weather report the fall should really be coming, and soon here in Portland. The rain will start in just a day or so. Here are a few of my favorite things from the blog world this week. Enjoy!
A very dreamy kitchen! Clean, crisp, perfection.
An amazing Amber Ring perfect for fall time fashion and any jewelry collection.
I might be baking another mouth-watering batch of these cupcakes!
I was totally inspired by this nautical themed wedding.
Pampering myself with this homemade sea salt scrub will be on the top of my to do list this weekend!

inChoosing your wedding gown can be a daunting task, but mostly it should be fun. My best advice is again to just relax and enjoy this process. Research the bridal boutiques in your area and ask your married friends for recommendations on the best place to go. Every boutique is different so finding one that caters to your needs is going to be your best bet.
Be prepared to answer a lot of questions when you get there. What is your budget for the gown? What is your venue? What fabrics do you like? Do you like beading, lace, bows, or flowers? How about straps or do you prefer strapless?
A gown should be something you love and feel beautiful and confident in. It should be comfortable – we can all suffer a bit for fashion, but be realistic if it’s heavy, hot, and itchy in the bridal store it will be all those things multiplied the day of. Most importantly it should be something you love and couldn’t wait to put on and show off to your friends, family and fiancé.
Here are my top 5 tips when bridal gown shopping…
If you are in the Portland Area I strongly suggest AniA Collection in Downtown. Their service and selection makes them the best store in town, hands down. They have a number of exclusive designers and are a full service couture bridal boutique so be prepared to be pampered.
Side Note: Most gowns are made to order which means it could take up to six months to get a gown. Plan ahead. It’s never to early to get the gown of your dreams, once you find it buy it! Prices go up and gowns do get discontinued so just do it!
Happy shopping!

I am a huge fan of Stacker Bracelets! I love the statement they make. It can be bold, or subtle – you can mix vintage with modern, inexpensive with designer pieces, large with small, basically anything goes. This trend will definitely last the test of time.
I love a mix of the chunky gold links with the beaded bracelets.
Look at all those amazing bracelets! She is so fabulous and fearless too! A little bit of everything on the wrist, the printed dress, the bow tie ring … you go girl!
Preppy chic and just my style. The bangles with the gold men’s style watch this is my everyday look.
Funky, colorful and totally unique – the casual version of the stacker bracelets.

I am so happy it’s finally the weekend. Tonight I am having a girl night with my mom and I plan on making my favorite pizza from scratch; Italian sweet basil sausage, caramelized onion, blue cheese and fresh basil. Seriously delish! On Sunday I am catering a friends 30th birthday party with a very creative menu. (I will be sharing it with you later in the week) I can’t wait! There is nothing I love more than cooking for people. Here are just a few things that caught my eye this week.
Enjoy.
The perfect menu for a little lunch party. Delish.
These lovely wedding cakes are so cute, not to mention mouth-watering too.
Green Curtains make a serious statement.
New York Fashion Week in a nutshell. My fingers are crossed that one day I will see it live and in person.
I will be making these pretzel rolls soon. I plan on devouring them!
Happy weekend!
